Dematting /Detangling:  Tangles or mats as they are know  in the industry can be very uncomfortable to your furry friend. Severe matting decreases blood circulation to your friends skin.  This leads to scratching, itching and underlying skin irritations which fester under the mats.  Dana has specific training in safe dematting techniques , as well as the the  patience and skill required to demat your pets coat.  The correct process of dematting without damaging the skin or hair folicle is very time consuming.

Process:   The coat is worked on dry as well as wet , with a variety of medicated conditioning solutions. You must first loosen the mats by hand gently seperation the fur, protective and soothing lavendar powers are used to help protect the skin and absorb dirt and debris from the coat.  Special tools are used to further lift and seperate the coat.  The pet is then given a medicated deep conditioning  soak containing lavender, aloe, thyme clover extracts. This product was developed from research done at NASA on the decontamination of astronauts. To further confort the pet we give a light massage with a veterinary approved medicated spray. This helps with circulation and any skin irritation from the mats.  You will be given this spray to apply as need to further nourish skin and coat.   In some instances it will be in the best interest of your pet to completely remove the coat rather than detangle.  A followup vist with your Vet is always advised to assess skin issues.  We will discuss your options with you prior to providing services and most important, how  to avoid this condition in the future.  Fee $85.00 per hour.

Furminator Shedless Treatment
This treatment reduces shedding and excess dander on pets. It helps remove undercoat and loose hair, leaving the coat shiny and shed-free by 60% - 80%.
It gently cleans without stripping natural oils. $20.00 to 55.00 dollars.

Bathing with excellent quality shampoos and conditioners; drying with our high velocity dryers, utilizing proper brushing and deshedding techniques all work together to manage shedding.

Tearstaining
Effective tear stain can not be achieved in one visit. Unless you are actually bleaching the fur which we do not recommend.
What we offer is a treatment regime that combines treating the problem internally and externally. We use a gentle a gel formula that  helps removes  unsightly eye stains. Made from a gentle blend of mild cleaners, it is effective on both dogs and cats.   We then have you use "Angel Eyes" which is a food addititve with mild antibiotic properties and is extemly effective if used as directed to permanently rid your dog of tear stains.  Dana is using this on her Havanese named "Mojito" and is thrilled with the results.   Package price is $35.00 including a bottle of the angel
eyes which is about a 3 month supply.

If you have a dog with white fur,  we use a special coverup for a more immediate change in apperance of tear staining-  $5.00

Massage

The purpose of our massage is to loosen the fibers of the muscles while releasing the deeply held patterns of tension for your pet. Especially important for animals with achy muscles, arthritis, and joint issues. $20.00 per half hour

Nail Buffing
If your pet has difficulty with nail clippers, Dana's Pet Spa can provide nail buffing. This process is a quick and pain-free way to trim and smooth nails. $15.00
